Hard drive Found

I finaly found the Computer which contains the hard drive I want for my ancient Toshiba. I will install it in the next few days and get back to the linux install. It is comming out of my ancient Dell latitude Xpi. Frankly I am not certain why I still have the thing as it is little more then a paper weight. The end on the power supply broke off and the replacement I ordered off of ebay was just good enough to get my data off of the hard drive. The Tosiba project should be back on track soon.

I was considering abandoning it. Delilinux just released a new version that pushed the system requirements almost beyond what that ancient laptop can handle. It is a canidate for FreeDos though. Maybe I could install that and play Betrayal at Krondor the way it was ment to be played.

Dell Axim X51

I just purchased a Dell Axim from Geeks.com I have been enjoying it immensly. It is a Windows Mobile 5 Based PDA With 802.11b and Bluetooth. I have been using it to surf the net and check my email. IT works pretty well for checking my email but is rather mediocer as far a surfing goes. Most websites don’t scale down to to a really small screen all that well. That is more a coment on the internet then on my new PDA I think.

I am going to dig up my copy of Visual studio and try my hand at writing some software the pda. I think that should be an interesting experience if nothing else.
