I am still using windows 7 starter on my netbook.  Every day I feel like I am moving closer to nuking it and installing Linux. I have not done so yet because I am not certain what version I should use.  I really do not like the new interface that ubuntu uses.  It feels like a very klunky Kludge.  I don’t like the way it seems to hide everything.  I am seriously thinking about moving to KDE over Gnome because Gnome 3 looks like just as much of a kludge as unity.  That will equate to kubuntu or OpenSuse.     I like OpenSuse and haven never used Kubuntu.  I have to try something soon.
